Based on the Master Class formula, all courses lead to certification recognized by most industry companies in the sectors of advertising, photography, publishing, animation and of course, retouching. Each session is prepared by retouching experts, under the direction of Dominique Fraser, founder of the renowned photo retouching and digital imaging studio SUBLIM, which the learning center is named after.
Our training is segmented into 4 sessions, which include a total of 32 courses.
DESCRIPTION
MENTOR FOR SUBLIM LEARNING CENTER

Schedule: Flexible
Tasks
- Schedule a weekly Skype appointment with every new student assigned
- Offer 25 minutes per student for mentoring time
- Review the student’s homework 1 hour before the meeting
- Offer strong and creative feedback on the student’s techniques
- Give every student a fair grade
- Keep the student progress document up to date
- Provide consistent follow up support and guidance to the students
- Be available for a monthly mentor meeting
Skills
Mentors must have the ability to:
- Be a passionate professional in a field of the image industry
- Have excellent skills in photo retouching
- Follow the current retouching industry
- Master and be up to date with new retouching technology
- Communicate clearly and constructively
- Discuss your observations and feedback positively and without judgment
- Be an excellent teacher, based on best practices
- Flexible availability
- Interest yourself in the students’ development to help them achieve their goals
- Be a friend and a good listener and communicator
- Be involved with supporting new teachers and mentors

ASSISSTANT(E) VIRTUEL(LE)

Sous la responsabilité de la Direction générale, ce poste est responsable des activités administratives, de secrétariat et de réception pour le Centre de formation Sublim.
Volet Accueil
- Réception des demandes d’adhésion, d’évaluation ou d’information
- Création des fiches clients
- Mise à jour du tableau des statistiques
- Gérer l’agenda et prise de rendez-vous des évaluateurs
- Recevoir les appels, les acheminer aux bonnes personnes;
- Assurer un service à la clientèle à la hauteur de Sublim;
- Effectuer un suivi et valider la satisfaction auprès des clients dont les mandats sont terminés;
Volet régistrariat
- Faire le suivi des demandes d’adhésion et de désistement
- Responsable des envois postaux ou par courrier express, local, régional et international;
- Rédaction, correction et transmission des communications (documents légaux, demande de crédit, autre);
- Rédaction, et mise à jour des documents internes;
- Organiser et classer les documents internes;
- Vérifier les contrats avant signature.
- Achat de matériel revendu.
Volet Finance
- Création des factures;
- Suivi des paiements
Volet Légal
- Effectuer la vérifications légales;
- Modifications et mise à jour des documents légaux;
- Assurer un suivi des poursuites judiciaires;
- Assurer un suivi du respect et de l’application des contrats.
Qualifications
Nécessaires
- Scolarité : DEC en secrétariat et bureautique;
- Plus de 5 ans d’expérience;
- Excellente maîtrise de MS Office : Word, Excel, Basecamp, etc.;
- Excellente maîtrise de la langue française et de la langue anglaise, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit;
- Discrétion, disponibilité, autonomie et sens de l’initiative;
- Capacité d’établir des priorités et de respecter des délais;
- Capacité de bâtir d’excellentes relations interpersonnelles;
- Capacité de travailler efficacement en équipe;
- Capacité de faire des procédures financières (envois, suivis, facturation);
Souhaitables
Un atout
- Connaissance du milieu juridique un atout.
- Le sourire dans la voix.
- Connaissance de la culture et des coutumes des autres pays.

Trick for self-employed retouchers
Be noticed, stand out from the crowd! You MUST find a way to be better, and that could mean several things… for example, you could develop your artistic vision to offer a special touch on your clients image as the well known retoucher, Pascal Dangin; “his clients are paying for his eyes, and his mind, as much as for his hand!” (The New Yorker) Find what makes you special, or develop it and offer it to your clients. Answer this simple question : why are you a better choice than all the other people that do what you do?
DO NOT! : That does not mean being cheaper! Don’t let the value you bring be the fact you are cheap, that just passes your profits to your clients.
